The 4th annual Fishing Camp at first seemed as if it would not happen. The boys searched for cabins among cabins and not one area could give us the "rowdiness" environment that we so craved. Even the 70's was off in the Navy on a boat across sea searching the internet.

Finally it was found...the new home of the Fishing Camp adventures, the place known as "Cherry Ridge." On this 4th annual fishing camp adventure to "Cherry Ridge" the boys reserved 3 cabins. Still no one has ever stayed nor seen "Cherry Ridge" so it was a gamble.

When the first crew of gentlemen arrived at this site they were in awe, a state of shock. It was a large woods spacious area with luxurious cabins fit for a king and queen. The term "rowdiness" was there. The boys jumped up and down, around and around.

Then RJ, who surprised the group, whipped out an item that will forever be called "The Fishing Camp flag." This flag was large and had all the years fishing camp has been going on embroidered on it. Next the music was turned on, the beer was a flowing like water and the fire was a burning like a barn as the fishing camp members and all of their loved ones came one bye one.

This year also brought about a new mascot. The new mascot that has been introduced this year is a dog that goes by the name "Cash". Cash is half black lab, and half Elephant. Cash hung out with the clan of young Americans all weekend long earning him as an all-time member and will always be welcomed with open arms into the fishing camp festivities. Cash was so good he even hopped into the 70's truck for a ride to the popular fishing holes with the crew. Cash at one point was lost until it was time to go and he just knew when to return to the truck for a ride back to camp to enjoy some cooked meals and beer.

Another new addition to fishing camp was the newly formed band "Midnight ... and the Electric Kurt Midnite Magic Jam Band" whose hits included "Ode to Jerry" and "Acidland." It was not until the second night that the band drew in foreigners known as the "rednecks." The "rednecks" wobbled over to our campsite and mentioned to us that they love the band and even play themselves. They enjoyed our company and informed us that they will be around every year for here on out and thus a new 20 members have been added as friends of the fishing camp.
